Tomorrow, In A Year

Sweden, as a nation, exists as an ideal set to countryside. The landscape looks like Wisconsin, but without the harsh climate. The people are beautiful. Their lifestyle is not overrun with the demands of their jobs. And their musicians are subsidized by the government.

Now, I'm not sure if that applies to Swedish group The Knife, but it would make total sense. While American artists are supported by beer companies or LiveNation, Sweden's finest could afford to experiment and create with relative artistic freedom. And that's where concept albums are born.

Tomorrow, In a Year is an opera based on Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species written by The Knife, and it's stream-able and buy-able from their website. Though I've just started, looks like The Knife's well on their way to continuing their career-long hot streak.
